The Best Apps of 2021

Mobile apps have revolutionized the way we live our lives. Think about it, if you could get all the information you needed from an app on your phone in 2003 — would you need a computer? It’s no longer the year 2003 though and now people aren’t just getting information through an app, but they’re making purchases, booking hotels, and ordering food — all from their mobile devices! The first version of Instagram was launched on October 6, 2010, and it has since become one of the most popular social media platforms in the world. In 2018, Instagram had 1 billion monthly active users worldwide, making it one of the most popular apps of its kind in existence today. The platform has seen tremendous growth over time with millions of new users joining every month. There are now more than 100 million active users in India alone! In fact, there are more than 1 billion active users on Instagram every day!

Duolingo

Duolingo is a free language learning app that teaches you Spanish, French, German, Italian, and English. The app uses a gamified system to help you learn a new language. It does this by having you complete lessons and then tests you on what you’ve learned. One thing that makes this app unique is that it uses artificial intelligence to create lessons based on your level of proficiency with the language. Another great feature about Duolingo is that it offers a conversation partner feature where users can talk to other users who are learning the same language as them! This helps users practice speaking in their target language without having to worry about being judged by someone who doesn’t speak it as well as they do (or at all).

Zoom

From virtual happy hours to virtual baby showers to virtual weddings, Zoom became the tool that helped us stay connected even when we couldn’t be together. There’s a reason we have “zoom fatigue” now—we were tired because we were using it so much. But it was worth it. The ability to see each other and chat with each other was crucial in keeping our sanity while staying safe at home.

How to Become a Developer

You want to learn how to become a developer but you don’t know where to start. You may not have the money to pay for a college education or you don’t want to go because you’d rather learn by doing. You could take a programming course at your local community college, but you don’t have the time and would rather study on your own. That’s why we’ve created this article to help you understand how to become a developer on your own.

Where to start?

It’s true that there are a lot of aspects to being a developer and working as part of a development team. You’ll need to be an expert at programming languages and code, but that’s only the beginning. You’ll also need to be able to work well with others, communicate your needs effectively, plan strategically, and think creatively. The good news is that there are plenty of resources for you to learn about how to become a developer!

CodeAcademy

A great place to get started if your time is limited and you want an introduction to the basics of programming and web development. They offer a variety of classes that are aimed at people who are just getting started or want a refresher, as well as more advanced courses for those who have some knowledge but need help with specific topics like JavaScript or CSS.

Udemy

This site has been around since 2010, making it one of the oldest resources on this list. It offers a wide range of topics including HTML5/CSS3, PHP, Ruby on Rails, WordPress, jQuery Mobile and more! Each topic has its own tutorial as well as videos showing how each feature works in action so you can see what kind of things might come up when coding in these languages.

Finding work

If you want to be a developer, you’re in luck: there are more opportunities for developers than ever before. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the field will grow faster than average over the next decade! Developers are needed in every industry – from manufacturing to education to government. But just because there are jobs out there doesn’t make it any easier to find one if you don’t know where to look.

Do your research and network

Look for opportunities through local meetups, conferences, and hackathons. These are great places to meet other developers who may be hiring or get hired themselves. They can also give you a sense of what companies are out there and what they do so that when you go looking for a job yourself, your search is more targeted.

Learn how to apply

You’ll need to send in a resume or cover letter, depending on the position you’re applying for – and both should be tailored specifically for each company. Make sure your resume shows off all relevant skills (and not just programming ones!) while highlighting your strengths and accomplishments at past jobs or projects without going overboard with fluff words like “excellent communicator.” If possible, find someone who has worked with these types of documents before so you will not make any accidental mistakes.

What is software? Definition, types, and examples

Software: You see it everywhere, whether you realize it or not. But what really is software? Some people may tell you that software is a computer program that can be executed by a central processing unit (CPU). While this is true, I’d like to define what software really is. This means that we’re going to go beyond the basic definition and explore various components and concepts of software. By the end of this blog post, you’ll know precisely what software truly is.

How do we define software?

Software is a set of instructions that tell a computer what to do. We use software to do things like search for information, create documents, and play games. Software can be divided into two types: system software and application software. System software includes operating systems, which control the computer’s hardware and manage the user’s interaction with it; device drivers, which allow the computer to communicate with its hardware devices; and utility programs, which perform maintenance tasks such as defragmenting hard drives or managing memory usage. Application software is what people use every day—it includes email programs, word processors, databases, spreadsheets, games, etc.

System software

The definition of system software is the term used to describe software that provides services to other programs in a computer system. It can refer to both operating systems and utility programs, but most often it’s used to describe an operating system.

The types of system software include:

  • Operating systems, which control the CPU, memory, and other devices on a computer. They also manage files and run applications.
  • Utility programs, which provide services like printing or cleaning up temporary files.

Examples of system software include:

  • Windows OS
  • Mac OS.

Application software

Application software is a term used to describe a type of software that allows users to accomplish specific tasks.

Examples include programs that can be used for word processing, emailing, and photo editing. Application software can be classified as either end-user or system software. End-user application software is used by people who work on computers—they are the ones who use it to complete their tasks. System software, on the other hand, is not intended for use by individuals; instead it provides support for the operating system and other programs that are running on the computer. The following are examples of application software:

  • word processing programs like Microsoft Word or Apple Pages
  • email clients like Gmail or Outlook
  • photo editing apps like Photoshop.

Open source software

Open source software is a type of software whose source code is made available to the public. The source code is the part of the software that can be understood by humans, and it’s what programmers use to make sure they’re building their programs correctly. All kinds of people are involved in open source projects: developers, users, and more. Open source software is usually not sold for money, but instead distributed freely. Most people who contribute to open source projects do so because they want to see their work used by other people who need it or enjoy using it.

Why are people addicted to their phones?

There’s no question about it. Smartphones are taking over. They’re more popular than ever and the rise of the smartphone has been directly impacted by their microcosm of amazing functions that have left people, well, with a phone addiction. It’s estimated that 90% of people use their phones while they are sitting on the toilet, and 50% of smartphone users check their phone within 15 minutes of waking up. I think we’ve all felt the urge to pull out our phone when we’re bored or anxious, and I’m here to share with you, why your addicted to your phone.

The history of the smartphone

The smartphone is a fairly new invention, but we’ve been using it for nearly a decade. And it’s becoming increasingly clear that the device is not only changing the way we communicate with each other—it’s changing the way we think and interact with our environment. The smartphone has been around since 2007, and it’s changed a lot since then. The first iPhone was released in 2007, but it took two years before Apple launched the App Store, which made it possible for developers to create apps for their devices. Since then, smartphones have become incredibly sophisticated computers that can be used to do everything from sending emails to playing games or watching videos. And they’re everywhere: according to Pew Research Center data from 2016, 95% of American adults own smartphones and 90% of U.S.-based teens own one as well—that means more than 40% of Americans aged 13-17 have one! So what’s so special about this technology? Why have so many people gotten addicted to their phones?

Apps

It’s not just the phone! It’s the apps. Let’s face it: we’re addicted to apps. Why? Because they make our lives easier. With the touch of a button, we can order goods and services, talk to friends and family, entertain ourselves, learn new things, and so much more. Some people say that this is a problem—that we’re all getting too attached to our phones. But what if our phones are a positive thing for humanity? They’re making us more connected with each other around the world, and giving us access to information and entertainment at our fingertips like never before in human history. Sure it’s possible that using your phone will make you dumber in some ways (like if you spend all night browsing YouTube instead of reading a book), but it also might make you smarter (like if you use an app to learn another language).
